Forward bookings automatically

Updated Oct 24, 2026

You can forward each confirmation to trips@getunflown.com by hand. Or set your email up once to do it for you: a filter sends airline emails to Unflown as they arrive, and nothing else. Use the email address you signed up with, or one you've added in Settings → Forwarding, so Unflown knows the emails are yours.

  • Gmail
  • Outlook.com
  • iCloud Mail
  • Yahoo Mail
  • What Unflown does with them

Gmail

About five minutes, on a computer: Gmail's app on a phone can't set up forwarding.

1. Add Unflown as a forwarding address

  1. In Gmail, click the gear at the top right, then See all settings.
  2. Open the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and click Add a forwarding address.
  3. Enter trips@getunflown.com, then click Next, Proceed and OK.
  4. Gmail sends Unflown a confirmation. Unflown confirms it for you, usually within a minute, and your Forwarded emails in Unflown say so. If it can't, the confirmation waits there for you with Google's link to finish.
  5. Leave Disable forwarding selected on that tab. You don't want everything forwarded, only airline emails: the filter below does that.

2. Make a filter for airline emails

  1. Reload Gmail. In the search bar, click the Show search options button (the sliders at its right).
  2. In From, enter the airlines you fly, for example: united.com OR delta.com OR aa.com OR southwest.com OR alaskaair.com OR jetblue.com
  3. Click Create filter.
  4. Tick Forward it to and choose trips@getunflown.com. If it isn't in the list yet, Unflown hasn't confirmed it: wait a minute and reload.
  5. Click Create filter. From now on, new emails from those airlines go to Unflown as they arrive. Ones already in your inbox don't: forward those by hand.

To add an airline later, open Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses, edit the filter and add OR and its address.

Outlook.com

  1. In Outlook on the web, open Settings (the gear), then Mail → Rules → Add new rule.
  2. Name it "Unflown". Add the condition Sender address includes and enter an airline's domain, such as united.com. Add one for each airline.
  3. Add the action Forward to and enter trips@getunflown.com. Save.

Outlook doesn't ask Unflown to confirm. Some work and school accounts don't allow forwarding outside the organization; forward those by hand.

iCloud Mail

  1. At icloud.com/mail, open Settings (the gear), then Rules → Add a rule.
  2. Choose is from and enter the address an airline's confirmations come from (it's on their From line).
  3. Choose Forward to an email address, enter trips@getunflown.com, and click Done. Make one rule for each airline.

Yahoo Mail

Yahoo lets some accounts forward automatically. If your Settings show Forwarding under More Settings → Mailboxes, add trips@getunflown.com there. Yahoo emails Unflown to confirm: it waits for you in Unflown's Forwarded emails, with Yahoo's own link to finish. Yahoo forwards everything once it's on, so if you'd rather send only airline emails, forward them by hand.

What Unflown does with them

  • Only email that reaches trips@getunflown.com is read. Unflown never opens your inbox.
  • Each email is deleted within 30 days. See the privacy policy.
  • Stop any time by deleting the filter or rule, or removing the forwarding address in your email's settings.
